Who it's for
This journey is for anyone who feels the quiet pull of the wild and wonders whether they’re ready for it. You are.
– Those longing to slow down and be met by the largest forest on Earth
– First-timers to forest bathing. There is no experience needed for this gift of sensing into the Amazon forest.
– Travelers with a spark of adventure, though not necessarily explorers
– Forest therapy guides and nature lovers wishing to deepen their relationship with a living elder forest
– Anyone ready to arrive, open their senses, and let everything else be held
What you'll experience
– Daily forest therapy walks, guided by Amos Clifford, founder of the ANFT and two ANFT trainers, one of them Brazilian and at home in this land
– A walk in the presence of the Samaúma, the “queen of the forest,” whose buttress roots rise taller than a person
– Canoe outings at dusk and before dawn, watching for birds, sloths, caiman, and the pink river dolphins
– A silent walk with a local guide, revealing the small wonders of Amazon biodiversity
– A deep guided meditation after dark, settling into relationship with the land
– A visit to riverside and Indigenous communities, offering a window into their customs and way of life
– A choice on the fourth evening: a rewilding night in hammocks with fireside stories, or a canoe journey across the lakes
– Opening and closing circles, ending with a practice of reciprocity to the land
What makes this different
This is not a tour of the Amazon. It is an invitation into relationship with it.
Many journeys here are built around seeing as much as possible. This one is shaped around how deeply you can be present. Each day unfolds slowly, through forest therapy practices that open the senses and let the forest become a companion rather than a backdrop.
You are held at every step. A small group of 12 to 21 guests, two ANFT trainers throughout, English-speaking local guides who carry generations of knowledge of these waters, and a special appearance by ANFT’s founder, M. Amos Clifford. Meals, boats, and a river-view room with every comfort are arranged for you, so your only task is to arrive.
And the week closes with giving back: a practice of reciprocity to the land that welcomed you. You return home carrying the forest with you.
Why join us
– To meet the Amazon not as a destination, but as a living presence
– Because you are more ready than you think, and fully supported throughout
– To be guided by people who know this land as home
– To stand before an elder tree you will remember for the rest of your life
– To share the journey with a small, warm circle of companions

– To rediscover your own senses, slowly and without hurry
– To return home carrying a new relationship with the more-than-human world
