🥾 About This Trail

Jasper sits in a rich montane or valley bottom zone. It has diverse vegetation, wildlife and birds and it is surrounded by the beautiful Canadian Rockies. It features main range and front range mountains which offers stunning views. In 2024, Jasper experienced a catastrophic wildfire which burnt 1/3 of the town and most areas around the town. Luckily the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge was spared but most of the trees around Lac Beauvert were burnt. The forest therapy trail goes through a portion of the burn then continues around toward the Athabasca River where there are still trees and plants. This trail will offer the opportunity to go through different zones; visitors will be able watch the area regenerate itself while still enjoying intact forests around the Athabasca River and Lake Mildred.
