Roy Ringel

Roy is a Forest Therapy Guide and Embodied Awareness Coach who lives in Montgomery County, MD.  He has a BA in English (Summa cum Laude) from the Lee Honors College of Western Michigan University.  After retiring from a long career in operations management (including Health Care, Education and Mental Health Services), Roy is now helping to heal this Earth by living the teachings of Eihei Dogen (“Enlightenment is intimacy with all things”) and Taisen Deshimaru ("Learn to think with your whole body”).  So, he has re-created a vocation as a Forest Therapy Guide and Embodied Awareness Coach.
When Roy is not Guiding or Coaching, he can often be found practicing Swordsmanship and various Martial Arts, leading a Meditation group (Sacred Forest Sangha), taking long solo walks in the woods, playing chess, and writing down whatever comes to mind.
