Pichai Uamturapojn

Pichai Uamturapojn, an executive director of UNPI in Mekong Region and a co-founder of social collaboration hub named Ma:D Esan, is an active practitioner for social entrepreneurship and a national expert for sustainable urban mobility under the ASEAN-German Cooperation. He moved to the forest and began to be a Forest Therapy Guide with ANFT.

He was selected as a Mekong Fellow under the Water, Environment and Resilience (CGIAR/CPWF). He worked as a Programme Director with Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) and Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD). After his PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Planning from University of the Ryukyus, he worked as a project researcher at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) in Kyoto, a postdoctoral fellow with the International Project Policy in Tokyo, and a fellow at the East-West Center in Hawai‘i.
