Hello! I'm Tara, a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and the International Society of Nature and Forest Medicine (INFOM), trained in Canada and Japan.

I hold a PhD from UBC's Faculty of Forestry & Environmental Stewardship, where I led Canada's first clinical study of forest bathing in urban settings (106 participants, randomized crossover design). The study documented heart rate reduction and significant mood improvement and feelings of nature connectedness across diverse populations, regardless of weather or season.

Current work: ▸ Guided forest therapy sessions throughout the year in and around Vancouver ▸ Sit Spot Club (sitspot.club): a 10-minute daily nature practice for individuals, workplaces, and clinical practitioners ▸ Silent Trails (silenttrails.ca): soundscape assessments piloted with Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, for parks and land managers wanting to designate restorative quiet trails

Based in Vancouver, available in Canada and the US as a dual citizen. Available locally for in-person guided sessions and remotely for program licensing, assessments, and research collaboration.
