Hello, my name is Tara. I'm a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and the International Society of Nature and Forest Medicine (INFOM). I'm based in Vancouver, travel between Los Angeles and Tokyo, and am available to guide locally and abroad.
I am also a Ph.D. candidate at the UBC Faculty of Forestry, researching the relationship between forest-based interventions and health outcomes. My dissertation topic measures the effects of forest bathing in Metro Vancouver parks while considering environmental factors influencing individual health responses. I had the privilege of studying with the first researchers in this field while living in Japan, which further fueled my passion for sharing the therapeutic benefits of nature with others.
As a certified educator in sustainability, I am dedicated to promoting environmental stewardship and helping individuals cultivate a deeper connection with the natural world. I guide forest therapy sessions throughout the year, from the winter chill to the summer warmth. My passion is to help others experience the restorative benefits of immersing themselves in nature. I can't wait to share this journey with you in the forest.
