Enjoy the potential health benefits attributed to forest immersion as you relax and rejuvenate. This unique experience invites you to connect deeply with nature, promoting physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. Put yourself in touch with the present-moment as you awaken your senses. Connect with the trees, walk barefoot or lie on the forest floor and stare into the cathedral above. Allow us to guide you through mindful practices and sensory engagement in the natural world.
Current research on forest immersion focuses on two components-phytoncides, and negative ions. Phytoncides are naturally occurring chemical compounds to help plants and trees protect themselves, in the process they may also help us in similar ways. Negative ions are tiny molecules produced in nature that may offer mood-enhancing benefits, reduce blood pressure, and help boost the immune system. If you are feeling as if life’s daily pressures and stresses are getting you down, perhaps consider a forest immersion experience. Guided forest immersion walks can be arranged in your area when booking appointments. The duration of the walks is usually 3 hours but can be designed to your availability and any restrictions you may have. Prices vary depending on the duration and location.
There is no right or wrong way to participate. You will be invited to experience several invitations during the 3 hour walk. There are no prescribed expectations, and you may decide how you wish to participate. Allow yourself to be guided not only by the guide, but by your heart and your senses. The journey is about moving slowly, purposefully, and being present in the moment. Internalize nature however you want — it’s all about the experience. The more open you can be to it, the richer and more personal it will be. There will be an opportunity to gather for a few moments after each invitation if you wish to share a thought or a word or two with the group, but it is also okay to remain silent and with your own thoughts. All will be welcome, non-judgmental and respectful.
