Step 1: Apply for Your User Account – Before you can create your personalized listing in our Guide Directory, you’ll need to apply for a user account on our website. This process ensures that we maintain a high standard of quality and reliability within our community of guides. To initiate your application, simply click the “Apply Now” button below and fill out the required information.

Once your application is submitted, our team will review it carefully. You’ll receive a notification regarding your application status as soon as possible. Approval may take up to a week, so please be patient as we process your request.

Step 2: Create Your Dedicated Listing – Once your user account is approved, you will gain access to our intuitive platform where you can create and customize your dedicated listing in the Guide Directory. 

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Personalized Showcase: Highlight your unique skills, experiences, and certifications.
  • Edit Anytime: You’ll have the flexibility to update your listing as needed, ensuring that your information is always current and relevant.
  • Connect: Your listing will be visible to potential clients actively searching for a certified guide, helping you expand your reach and grow your practice.

What's the process to create or manage Guide Listings?

Step 1
Apply For User Account Access

This first step only needs to be completed one time to initially establish your user account login.

After filling out and submitting the User Account Application, we will receive your information and someone from our team will confirm that you are a certified guide.

Pending confirmation, we will then approve your user account application in the system.

Step 2
Receive Account Approval Email

After we approve your user account application, you will receive an automated email informing you that your account has been approved in the system.

Watch for this important email, as it will include instructions for the next steps and also links to directly manage your Guide Listing.

Make sure to check your junk or spam folder(s) for this email, and if you do not receive it for any reason, please contact us.

Step 3
Create / Manage Your Listing

Once you've successfully established a user account in the system, you can then login and access the Guide Dashboard where you can create a new listing, manage an existing listing, and more.

Note that all new Guide Listings require approval after creation, before they will be live in the Guide Directory. The approval process is typically performed within 48-72 hours.

What is the certification criteria?

We consider any trail or site that allows for and supports interaction between people and the more-than-human world of Nature. Each site is carefully assessed utilizing criteria that evaluate the ecological health of the site, ease of access and safety. Additionally, we examine how infrastructure and signage can support both guided and self-guided Forest Therapy experiences.

Certified trails, spaces and places are specifically designated for their ability to provide interaction between participants and nature while promoting and fostering the ecological health and vitality of the site.

The evaluation and assessment encompasses six distinct categories: ecosystem health, safety, infrastructure, ease of access, design considerations, and management. Each category consists of multiple sub-scale elements that undergo thorough review.
