Natalia Laverde-Bohorquez is a conceptual photographer, social communicator and anthropologist. She is the Director of El Bosque y La Niebla Foundation and co-owner of the nature preserve La Ilusión where she leads research and socio-ecological reconciliation processes since 2007. She is a pioneer in Colombia integrating Relational Forest Therapy(TM) with ecological restoration. Her management at the foundation has turned the OEMC La Ilusión into a natural space where various organizations and populations – hundreds of children and youngsters from the Preserve’s area of influence – have experienced reconciliation with Nature, and enjoyed the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of cloud forest.

Author and co-author of literary and scientific publications on the biodiversity of the OECM, private conservation initiatives, and the effect of FT in mental health. Her previous experience as an organizational communication consultant in Energy and Environmental sectors has led her to learn about various spectrums of the relationship between culture and nature, a topic that has also fueled her work as an independent photographer, expressing these interests in bodies of work that have been exhibited on various national and international venues.
