Guide Details
Santa Barbara, California, United States
Tamara Murray believes everyone belongs in nature because we are nature. She offers guided experiences that foster well-being and connection for the public, private groups, and workplaces/organizations.
Tamara started Nature Connection Santa Barbara because nature has always been the place where she feels alive and most like herself. She is passionate about introducing others to being in nature in whatever way feels right for them. Her “indoor job” is providing strategic communications consulting to social-change nonprofits, which means she is a human juggling the pressures of modern life like the rest of us.
She earned her guide certification from the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, a global leader in guide training. She holds a current Wilderness First Aid certification from NOLS and is a proud member of the Outdoorist Oath community, dedicated to planet, inclusion and adventure.
Some of Tamara's favorite spots in the Santa Barbara area are the Andrée Clark Bird Refuge, Stevens Park, Sheffield Reservoir, Jesusita Trail, Ennisbrook Trail, Summerland Beach, Douglas Family Preserve, and Haskell’s Beach, where she is often spotted with her husband Chris and dog Nina.
