Dr. Natalie St-Denis is a registered social worker (ACSW) with a Master and PhD in Social Work from the University of Calgary and is in training to be a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. Her practice draws from Indigenous teachings, Eastern practices, as well as Western science. She has worked with Elders and Knowledge Keepers for over a decade to guide her practice in diverse settings, and she has a long-standing practice of meditation, as well as an ongoing curiosity for evidence-based practices that support health and wellness. Natalie’s practice is grounded in a compassionate and relational person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach. Natalie has been deeply connected to nature all of her life with over 20 years of hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, skiing, kayaking and canoeing and has always found that spending time in the wilderness to be inspiring, rejuvenating, life-affirming and full of learning opportunities for growth and connection.

Natalie is the founder of Mountain Pine Therapy & Consulting which works in partnership with nature as a co-facilitator to foster emotional, mental, spiritual and physical health and wellbeing. Mountain Pine Therapy & Consulting offers individuals, groups and organizations guided nature and forest therapy walks, as well as women’s nature-based wellness retreats.
