Hi! I'm Kristen 🙂 I'm a Trauma Therapist, Community Violence Prevention researcher, School Psychologist, and Yoga & Mindfulness teacher. I mainly support cancer and trauma survivors and see yoga & mindfulness clients individually and in small groups. I also offer weekly community wellness yoga classes and classes specific to cancer caregivers. I offer Forestbathing as a mindful, stress-relieving, health-promotive offering to clients and my greater community.

Guided Forest Therapy sessions are offered to the community as one way to deepen our relationship and practice re-connecting to the more-than-human world. I live on a gorgeous peninsula in Northern Michigan called Leelanau (LEE-len-aw), which is the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabek—the Three Fires Confederacy of the Ojibwe, Ottawa, and Potawatomi peoples. I offer sessions in small groups of 2-8 and communicate with our local conservancies and the National Park Service who tends Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore to choose trails that meet clients’ needs. Forest Therapy has been a deeply transformative personal practice. I consider myself fortunate to bear witness to participants’ spectrum of experiences as they re-connect to nature in their own way, on their own terms. As we say, the forest is the therapist; the guide opens the doors. I can’t wait to share this practice with you!
