Hiking and canoeing since I was strong enough to hold a pack and paddle, the natural world has been a constant companion, educator/storyteller, and infinite source of peace and inspiration. My particular passion is working in partnership with the natural world to foster awareness and appreciation of the benefits of deep nature connection for all ages, and, in particular, additional healing pathways for individuals living with chronic and episodic health conditions.

A former Psychotherapist, I also worked as Program Coordinator supporting individuals living with and impacted by HIV. I have an MA in Counselling Psychology, a BA in Human Services and currently works as a Manager in Clinical Operations for a national mental health organization.

I live with my partner in rural Ontario, where I maintain an overgrown labyrinth-wildflower garden designed to create food and habitat for pollinators. I became certified with The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) Guides and Programs in 2021 after experiencing the restorative power of a guided walk myself.

I recently joined the Board of Nature and Forest Therapy of Canada serving and supporting the needs of Forest Therapy Guides throughout Ontario as they build their own nature connective practices. In my spare time, I read, write poetry and relish my most important job: Nana. I am also a member of the Patient Advisory Committee of Migraine Canada.
