Janie has a BS in Biology, is certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides (ANFT) and also works seasonally at a wholesale plant nursery. She guides forest therapy walks throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  Janie is happy to discuss the possibility of guiding a walk for you and/or your organization. She is also available to conduct 1 hour+ informational presentations with PowerPoint on “What is Forest Bathing?”

From late March through October, available for in-person walks for 1-15 people ONLY on weekends or weekday evenings. From November through March no availability restrictions.
No cost walks are available for healthcare workers and first responders.

Janie completed her training as an ANFT Certified Forest Therapy Guide in November 2019.  She is an avid gardener using both ornamental and native plants. She comes from a family of gardeners and has always felt a connection with nature. She began gardening more specifically for butterflies and pollinators in 2001. Janie has worked in the horticulture industry since 2003 and has 25 years of experience speaking to garden clubs, garden centers, trade shows, schools, etc.
