Hi, I’m Gretchen Williams, founder of Golden Hour Journeys

I’d love to guide your forest bathing and nature connection journey. As a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, I’m dedicated to supporting reconnection to nature—both outside and within ourselves.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt most myself when I’m in wild spaces—whether climbing trees as a kid in southern Virginia or exploring new trails near my current home in western Massachusetts. It’s a privilege to now guide others in experiencing authentic connection with the natural world through an evidence-based framework. I bring deep respect for the land, its past and present stewards, and all its inhabitants—big and small—to this practice.

When I’m not wandering among the trees, I work as a writer and researcher in public health. I hold a Master of Science degree in Global Health and Population from Harvard University. I’m a writer of poetry and prose, a friend to animals, and an admirer of wildflowers.
