Forest Therapy — A Journey into Nature’s Calm
Forest Therapy is a guided wellness experience that invites guests to slow down, awaken their senses, and reconnect with nature. Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing”), it blends mindfulness and gentle walking in serene natural settings.
Each session is designed to reduce stress, restore balance, and renew a sense of harmony between body, mind, and the natural world — offering a refined path to wellbeing through the healing power of the forest.
Each walk is led by me as a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) — the world’s leading standard in forest therapy practice through a sequence of gentle “invitations” — gentle mindfulness exercises that encourage participants to awaken the senses, notice subtle details, and build an intimate, reciprocal relationship with Nature.
During a typical walk, participants move slowly through a serene natural setting — a forest, botanical garden, or nature reserve — allowing the environment itself to become both mirror and medicine. Silence, stillness, and sensory awareness are central, helping the nervous system shift from stress to calm and presence.
Forest Therapy has been shown to reduce stress, lower heart rate and blood pressure, strengthen immunity, and enhance mood and clarity. Beyond physical wellbeing, it fosters emotional resilience, creativity, and a deep sense of belonging within the natural world.
