I came to Forest Bathing through a sense of curiosity and a desire to deepen my connection with Nature. As I completed my certification as a Forest Therapy Guide, I realized there was a "through-line" with my previous 35 year calling/career as a Naturopathic Physician. So many people spoke to feelings of loneliness, a sense of isolation, a yearning for connection with others, themselves and the natural world. Forest Therapy is a way to address this vacuum and bring balance and awareness to the individual's relationship with themselves as well as the natural world around them.
I am a graduate of Bastyr University and Pennsylvania State University and the founder and former Clinical Director of Natura Medica- The Center for Natural Medicine in Mystic, CT. I reside in Westerly, RI where I enjoy birding, bicycling, botany and exploring the next cool place to share Forest Bathing.
