About the Venue

Woodbound Inn

Located in the heart of the Monadnock Region in Southern New Hampshire, Woodbound Inn is a beautiful family owned property with a warm and cozy atmosphere and delicious restaurant and lounge. Just 1 hour from Manchester Airport and 1 hour and 45m from Boston Airport, its 76 acres are surrounded by eastern hemlock, white pine, beach, birch, and oak forest and a private lake beach. With both cabins on the lakefront, and quaint Inn and hotel style rooms, Woodbound sits just by Lake Contoocook with a spectacular view to Mount Monadnock. Woodbound is truly a magical place to spend Memorial Day Weekend holiday and for Forest Therapy. The land is just 10 minutes from Monadnock State Park and 20 minutes from Miller State Park and Rhododendron State Park. During free time participants can also enjoy the lake, canoeing and kayaking.

PRICING for 6 nights A lodging from Sunday June 13th until Thursday June 19th with all meals starting with dinner on Saturday and ending with lunch upon departure on Friday taxes included in the prices below.

Option 1: Queen Single – Private room with Queen bed and private bathroom. Rooms have internet, phone, TV and AC.

Option 2: Queen Double – Shared room with queen beds and private bathroom. Rooms have internet, phone, TV and AC. **PLEASE NOTE when booking this double room that the price is based on 2 separate people booking this room. If a second person does not book this room you will be asked to pay an additional $351 for this room since only one person will be occupying the room or you may switch to a single room if one is available.

Option 3: Twin Double – Shared room with two twin beds and private bathroom. This room is cozy but small. Rooms have internet, phone, TV and AC. **PLEASE NOTE when booking this double room that the price is based on 2 separate people booking this room. If a second person does not book this room you will be asked to pay an additional $428 for this room since only one person will be occupying the room or you may switch to a single room if one is available.

Option 4: Private Rustic Lakeview Cabin – Private cabin with King bed and private bathroom at lakefront or lakeview with fireplace sitting areas with bay window. No internet, phone or TV in the cabins. The cabins also have propane heat as well as mini fridges, microwaves and coffee makers.

Option 5: Shared Rustic Lakeview Cabin – A Private room and shared bathroom (with one other person) along the lake, with fireplace and sitting area overlooking the lake. No internet, phone or TV in the cabins. The cabins also have propane heat as well as mini fridges, microwaves and coffee makers. **PLEASE NOTE when booking this option that the price is based on a 2nd person booking this cabin. If a second person does not book this room you will be asked to pay an additional $492 for this room since only one person will be occupying the room or you may switch to a single cabin if one is available.

Food costs are included in the total fee. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other special food needs, allergies, or restrictions can be ​accommodated.

Schedule Details for the 7 Day in Person Training

Arrival

Arrival: Saturday, June 13th, 2026

  • Check-in is between 4-5pm
  • Dinner 6-7
  • Program begins with an Orientation circle 7-8:30pm

Departure

June 19, 2026

Departure: Friday June 19th, 2026

  • Program ends by 1pm on Thursday June 11th. 
  • *If you are booking flights, please make sure your departing flight leaves no earlier than 5pm.

General Notes

Wifi is available in the main building as well in the additional buildings, however there is no internet, phone or TV in the cabins.

Venue Policies:

  • 31 days or more prior to the start of your course you may request a full  refund of your accommodations minus a $50 administrative fee.
  • 30 days or less prior to the start of the immersion,  refunds are no longer possible unless your rooming reservation is refilled, in which case you may request a refund minus a $100 administrative fee.

4 Month Online

In this second part of the training, 4 months online you will:

 
  • Consolidate the learning from the 7 day in person training
  • Guide your practice walks
  • Debrief your practice walks with the training team and your cohort colleagues
  • Sequencing forest therapy invitations for maximum impact and benefit
  • Getting to know your bioregion, its history, watershed, awarenesses and more
  • Nature and forest therapy scientific research and knowledge
  • Learn how to develop your guiding practice
  • Continue to deepen your relationship with the land
  • Practical exercises and explorations to deepen your guiding skills

The training is designed in a way that will gently guide you through all the steps and processes to integrate and deepen the learning in your head and in your body. Upon completion of this course you will be able to succesfully guide forest therapy walks within the framework of ANFT’s guide certification training.

Tuition

The tuition for the complete program that includes the 7 day in person training and the 4 month online program is $3600 (USD).

Payment plans are available on registration.

IMPORTANT: This price does not include lodging, meals nor transportation to the 7 day in person training.

Other costs to your training include payment for Wilderness First Aid training, which is required for Certification, and is provided by third parties. Prices range from $100 to $300.
